But after about 40 minutes, I saw the same errors in the event log again. Went through the various (excellent) IIS configuration check posts available here and on the Internet to no effect. I guess the "Bad Request" HTTP 400 syntax error was occuring because internally the server was connecting to the exchange-oma mailbox store without a host header and IIS didn't know where Event Id 1309 I am trying to get an account, without much luck since registration seems to be broken, on the http://www.webservertalk.com/ to thank the guy/gal personally!

Just a whole lot of 3005 errors in the event viewer.- I've tried turning on and off forms-based authentication in the exchange server.
